The Story

Taittinger originates back to 1734 when the original Champagne house was founded by Jacques Fourneaux in Reims. Since then the Taittinger family has managed the Champagne House for nearly a century.  It’s aim has always been the pursuit of excellence. The name on the bottle conveys both the skills and knowledge of the past and a commitment to the future. Pierre Emmanuel Taittinger shares this commitment to the family name, with his son, Clovis and his daughter, Vitalie who both work beside him in the day to day running of the Champagne House.

“Champagne is the best way of saying “I love you” in any language”
Clovis Taittinger

Today the Tatttinger estate covers 288 hectares located between the ‘Côte des Blancs’, the ‘Vallée de la Marne’ and the ‘Montagne de Reims’. It is the third largest vineyard in the Champagne region, with a team of winegrowers, producers and real artisians, working towards producing the Champagne House’s unique style.

Tasting notes by our Group Sommelier Amandine Rouviere

The bubbles are fine. The nose is very open and expressive, delivering aromas of fruit and brioche. This beautiful champagne gives off the fragrance of peach, white flowers (hawthorn, acacia) and vanilla pod. It is Medium bodied on the palate with a lively freshness and a great complexity with some stone fruit, white flower, brioche, green apple and long length.
