Bopp & Tone Raised $25,000 At Their Bushfire
Benefit Event.
On Saturday 1st February Bopp & Tone held an exclusive fundraising evening to raise much needed funds for the people and animals affected by the Australian bushfire crisis.
All proceeds are being donated equally to WIRES WildLife Rescue, Australian Red Cross Disaster & Recovery Fund and Salvation Army Bushfire Appeal.
The Bushfire Benefit Silent Auction offers will be live and available to bid on until Friday 14 February. Make your bid on coastal getaways, unique experiences, beauty products, career coaching, exclusive wines and more, kindly donated by Caves Beach Coastal, Harley Davidson, Long Reef Gold Club, Jane Jackson Career Coach, Sydney Podiatry Co, Absolut Elyx, Quality Dental, Swarovski, Samsonite, Milk & Butter Media, Malt Shovel, Tellurian Wines, Maison Mumm RSRV Champagne, Mitcher’s Bourbon, Young Henrys Brewery, Capital Brewing Co and artist Adrienne Monteverde.
With a sold-out crowd of 125 people, guests started gathering on Carrington Terrace from 6:30pm to enjoy the balmy summer evening. Spritz cocktails and Four Pillars Gin & Tonics (donated by Vanguard Luxury Brands) circulated and the vibe was electric.
Guests filtered into the main dining room and Wynyard Terrace to find their tables, where they were met with Baked By Keiran warm sourdough on the tables followed by Fishboy Seafood Sydney Rock oysters with green almond pickle and lemon oil.
Australian stand-up comedian, actor and co-writer & co-director of Happy Feet 2, Gary Eck, was the host for the evening, thanks to our partnership with LaughMob. Gary warmed up the room with a classic stand-up gig before encouraging everyone to dig deep tonight and purchase raffle tickets to win some epic prizes.
The raffle prizes were all donated courtesy of The Daily Edited, Taronga Zoo, Amex Openair Cinemas, Tavalon Tea, Koala, Bondi Wash, P.E. Nation, Ashley & Co, KX Pilates Potts Point, Bauer Media (Australian Women’s Weekly, Gourmet Traveller, Elle and Bazaar), Endeavour Brewing Co, Grafted Wines and Proof & Co Plantation Rum.
The Vibe Band Sydney soothed guests into the evening with jazz tunes during dinner. The entrees flowed to the tables and guests enjoyed Yellowfin tuna crudo with garlic flower, watermelon radish, tobiko and finger lime, along with half shell scallops with charcoal baked seaweed butter, both donated by Fishboy Seafood. A beautifully plated vegetarian sheep’s curd with wood grilled fig & peach, walnut and extra virgin olive oil was served courtesy of Sydney Direct and Simon Johnson.
Mains were generously donated by Westholme, Haverick Meats, M&J Chickens and Sydney Direct. Dishes included M&J Chickens duck breast with dukkah crust, cherry ketchup, pickled onion and salt bush; Westholme Wagyu Sirloin F1 MBS 7+; and Bopp & Tone’s classic sides of roast cracked potatoes and steamed greens.
To round off the feast, Head Chef Amber Doig from The Butler Potts Point curated a bespoke Manuka honey panna cotta with coconut, mirto and blackberry sorbet.
Australian cheeses donated by Simon Johnson concluded the 9-course meal.
After a highly anticipated raffle prize announcement, and lots of happy winners, the entertainment was dialled up a few notches and The Vibe Band Sydney belted out classic tunes including Valerie and I Will Survive, which got everyone up on the dance floor, proving they are the ultimate event & wedding band if you are looking for a good time!
